We always have a physician on call who is available for medical emergencies. If you have an emergency, call our office as soon as possible. Depending on the situation, the physician may suggest that you go to a hospital emergency room for evaluation.
If it is an urgent emergency, please call 911 or go to the closest emergency room. The ER staff will contact your doctor if needed.
Gastrointestinal emergencies can include:
- severe abdominal pain
- high fever
- dehydration
- blood in vomit or stools
- abdominal pain after a procedure
- food stuck in the esophagus
- severe allergic reactions to medications (hives or shortness of breath)
